About

Somewhere with a bit of character

A place with character gives your day its own shape. We bring together castles, country houses, distinctive hotels and unexpected settings, with practical details to help you build a shortlist.

What's on here

Places across Ireland with different styles, sizes and ways of hosting a wedding. Some offer the whole property. Others host celebrations in a private room or part of a shared venue. Check the arrangements that matter to you before you book.

Using the directory

Browse by county or collection, then visit each venue's own website. Our descriptions and questions are intended to help you explore a place, not replace a viewing or a conversation with its team.

About the details

Listing information comes from directory research and venue information. Indicative prices may relate to different packages or hire arrangements and are not current quotes. Ask what is included, which dates apply and whether minimum guest numbers or extra charges affect your plans.

Capacity can mean a seated meal, a ceremony or a standing reception. Where we have a published figure, the venue page includes its context. A missing figure means you should ask the venue. Accommodation does not necessarily cover your whole guest list, and exclusive use may apply to only part of a property.

Getting in touch with venues

Where a venue publishes a website, its page here links straight to it. A handful do not, and for those you are better off ringing. Either way, contact them directly.

If you want to keep a venue for later, the form on its page emails you the particulars and the questions to ask on a viewing. See privacy for what happens to your email address.
