Cliff at Lyons is a cluster of restored stone buildings along the canal rather than one big house, which gives the day a wandering quality. The intimate package uses the Orangery and the Lyons Den bar, so you are not rattling around a ballroom built for 200.
It is close enough to Dublin for guests to come and go easily, and the food and gardens are the reason people remember it. Weekday dates are available and dogs are welcome.
