By the numbers
Only 1 in 5 Irish wedding venues publish a price
Most couples start by looking for a price. We read the websites and brochures of 117 venues across 32 counties, and only 23 of them publish one. Details last checked 26 October 2026.
Prices: most venues ask you to enquire
Only 23 of 117 venues (20%) publish a wedding price on their own site or in a brochure they link to. The other 94 say to get in touch.
11 of those that do publish quote a per-guest price. The lowest starts at €52 a guest and the highest at €150. The median is €119. Packages are not like for like: some include the venue, food and drink, others only the food, so each venue page shows the venue's own note on what its price covers.
Capacity: a figure is easier to find than a price
68 venues (58%) state how many guests they can hold. The middle one holds 163. The range runs from 10 to 400. A single number hides a lot: venues often give different figures for a ceremony, a seated dinner and an evening party, so each venue page repeats the venue's own wording.
Getting there
- 40 venues are within 90 minutes' drive of Dublin.
- 32 have an Irish Rail station within 10 minutes' drive.
- 2 are more than two hours from the nearest airport with scheduled flights.
Driving times are by road without traffic. For guests flying in, the last two matter more than the first.
History
34 of the 117 venues have their main building in the National Inventory of Architectural Heritage, and 9 of those are rated of national importance or higher.

How to read this
These are the venues listed on this site, picked for character: castles, country houses and exclusive-use estates, plus some distinctive hotels. They are not every wedding venue in Ireland, so the figures describe what these venues publish, not the whole market. A blank is not a hidden price: where a venue doesn't publish something, we say so instead of estimating.
