The Tin Church
A restored corrugated iron church beside a stream in Monaghan, used for ceremonies only.
A closer look
A place with character.
St Peter's Tin Church is a rare survivor: a prefabricated iron church, restored and tucked among mature trees beside a stream. It is taken exclusively, and it costs a fraction of what a full venue does because it does one job.
There is no kitchen and no accommodation, so this is the ceremony half of the day, with the meal somewhere else afterwards. Outside caterers are allowed if you are organising drinks on site.
Before you book
Worth asking.
- How long do you have the church, and is there a rehearsal?
- Is it licensed for a legal ceremony, or is it a blessing?
- How is the building heated for a winter date?
