A closer look

A place with character.

Lisnavagh has been the McClintock Bunbury family seat for eleven generations, set in parkland on the Carlow and Wicklow border with views to the Blackstairs and Mount Leinster. It is licensed for civil ceremonies in two places within walking distance of the house: the Yew Walk and the Brick Barn.

Dinner and dancing happen in the Garden Wing, which seats up to 160. The house sleeps 14, and the converted stables, bothy and farm cottages take a further 25 or more across the weekend. The estate recommends its own team of caterers and suppliers.

Before you book

Worth asking.

  1. Is the whole estate ours for the weekend, or only the house?
  2. Which caterers are we allowed to use?
  3. What is the wet weather plan for a Yew Walk ceremony?
