Dublin
Clontarf Castle Hotel
A genuine 12th century castle turned hotel in north Dublin, 15 minutes from the city centre.
Dún Laoghaire · Co. Dublin
A restored 19th century Mariner's Church in Dún Laoghaire, with stained glass and a huge lantern.

A closer look
The old Mariner's Church is one of the most dramatic ceremony rooms in the country, with coloured light coming through Victorian glass and a lighthouse optic in the middle of the floor. It is taken exclusively.
Dún Laoghaire is on the DART line with the pier, the harbour and plenty of restaurants a short walk away, so the rest of the day organises itself. Outside caterers are allowed.
